Timpano Las Olas: A Culinary Adventure

Located amongst the vibrant streets of Fort Lauderdale, Timpano Las Olas offers an exciting dining experience. As I stepped through its doors, I was greeted by a lively atmosphere, although the ambiance was slightly too dark for my taste (we had to request two lamps at our table to read the menu).

The menu showcased a delectable array of dishes, each promising a unique culinary journey. I began my meal with the Old School Skillet-Roasted Mussels. Unlike traditional mussels served in a broth, these were cooked in a skillet, resulting in a savory and flavorful experience. The burrata, with its pistachio butter spread, was an intriguing twist, though its overpowering flavor slightly overshadowed the delicate cheese.

For my main course, I opted for the Berkshire Pork Chop. The meat was tender and juicy, and the vinegar/pepper sauce added a welcome tangy touch. The accompanying roasted vegetables were perfectly seasoned, complementing the pork chop beautifully.

While the food was undoubtedly the highlight of my visit, the service could have been more attentive. We often had to wait for our water glasses to be refilled or for our plates to be cleared.

Despite the minor service lapse, Timpano Las Olas’ perfect location on a street lined with shops, restaurants, and people-watching opportunities made up for it.

In conclusion, Timpano Las Olas offers a culinary adventure that is both innovative and satisfying. While the service could use some improvement and the ambiance could be brighter, the exceptional food and prime location make it a worthwhile destination.
